CRETAN DAKOS-SALAT
Dakos or ntakos is a meze consisting of a slice of soaked dried bread or barley rusk (paximadi) topped with chopped tomatoes and crumbled feta or mizithra cheese, and flavored with herbs such as dried oregano. Olives and pepper can also be added.

This salad, also known as village salad or choriatiki is Cyprus agricultural heritage, consisting of quartered tomatoes, sliced red onions, and chunky slices of cucumber. Depending on the region, there can also be olives, green peppers, feta cheese, oregano, salt, pepper, or a typical dressing made from olive oil and lemon or vinegar (optionally).
The Cyprus village salad does not contain lettuce leaves.
What's the difference between village and greek salad?
A village salad contains tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, feta cheese and oregano. Add lettuce to the mix and you have a Greek salad!

Though simple in preparation, Greek-style tuna salad is packed with typical Greek flavors. Along with chunks of tuna, the salad mainly incorporates various diced vegetables, and the choice of different additions such as capers, olives, and herbs.
